Maria Lena Koen is a Swiss-Italian/Dutch multi-disciplinary artist and filmmaker currently based in Paris. In 2021 she graduated at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Film.
Growing up, she split her time between the valleys of Centovalli and sailing the Dutch seas where she became acquainted with a different way of living. This connection to the natural world has helped nurture a sensitivity that she uses to connect with people and better understand their relationship to society. Maria Lena works on different personal and commissioned projects in photography and film.
